Cargo Overseas are committed to ensuring that all staff undergo regular training so they are abreast with current procedures.
On the 14th November we held, in conjunction with J & E Consultants, our regular Level 4 security course. We had four internal staff on this popular course as well as staff from Robins Transport, MAAL Transport and SBS Worldwide. Aviation security is a very important part of the role which the freight-forwarder plays in the supply chain. The Department for Transport rules governing the movement of cargo by air are constantly changing and evolving. It is a mandatory requirement that staff exporting known cargo by air attend refresher courses every two years and Cargo Overseas regularly run courses in Manchester for their staff as well as employees from other freight-forwarding, transport and logistic companies.
These aviation security courses back up the dangerous goods by air courses and regular seminars which staff attend in all manner of subjects from Employee Law, Health & Safety through to First Aid and general office awareness courses.
