Specialist project cargo movements into Africa
DP Shipping

DP Shipping were specialist consolidation and project forwarders to the West African markets, especially Nigeria. Operating for many years out of their base in Maghull, Liverpool DP Shipping were a small but successful team with many years experience in freight forwarding to West Africa. In 2007 Cargo Overseas, whom had handled DP Shipping's airfreight for many years, spoke with the then Managing Director, William Dillon, about a position within the Cargo Overseas group.

Lagos, Ikeja, Apapa and Nigeria.

Cargo Overseas have continued where DP Shipping left off. Handling several projects at any one time in and around Nigeria we have become experts in the smooth transition of goods throught Nigeria. Opening and preparing letters of credit, working with shipping lines and handling shipper owned containers and tanks across West Africa.

Project cargo by air into Nigeria.

Cargo Overseas always offered DP Shipping flight charters into Africa and we continue to handle this type of cargo to this day. Operating B747Freighter services and Atonov's from bases across the Middle East and Europe we are able to move the biggest loads by air to any airport in Africa. This is vital in providing a secure African supply chain where roads are not really suitable for heavy-laden project cargo.

Out of Gauge loads by Sea to Tin-Can island and Apapa, Nigeria.

Cargo Overseas sea-freight division move conventional and break-bulk cargo through the ports of Apapa and Tin-Can island continually. Working through both Nigerian ports allow us to minimise the delays due to backlogs. Using Tin-Can Island as a conventional port gateway works extremely well as most mainline shipping lines try to insist on Apapa as their preferred port of destination. By having people on the ground in Nigeria who understand the Nigerian market we are able to offer a service which is second to none.

"Cargo Overseas understand the Nigerian cargo market and can provide you, our customer with an unrivalled service into Nigeria by Air and Sea."
