Cargo Overseas project cargo division incorporates our charter and out-of-guage cargo sections and is one of the busiest sections of our business. Often referred to as a logistics section and now 3pl or 4pl we have been handling large and complex cargo projects for global manufacturers since long before buzz words became fashionable.

Project cargo requires the freight-forwarder to fully understand the way the manufacturer works and handles his business so that they can appreciate the challenges the shipper will face before, during and after his transport needs have been completed. Complex project cargo movements require industry experts at all points in the transport chain and Cargo Overseas are able to provide this in the most unlikeliest of places.

Numerous freight-forwarders claim to have a logistics or prjoect cargo division but few actually have the man-power or experience to handle project cargo from inception through to delivery in the way that Cargo Overseas can. With our dedicated staff who travel the world overseeing these projects we discuss face-to-face with all aspects of the supply chain. This includes your overseas customer to obtain smooth customs clearance so you can be assured your project cargo is in safe hands. We negotaite direct with shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities and ports and airports to ensure landing rights, royalties, clearance and delivery can be acheived cost effectively and efficiently. We even have a specialist buyer who assists in sourcing products and raw materials with you, the customer, so that we fully understand each project cargo movement we undertake. We will provide logistical advice on the best way to handle a consignment and work with your buyers and sellers to ensure each and every project cargo movement is handled uniquely on it's own merits.

We utilise on a regular basis Flexi-tanks and bags as well as tanks for the movements of chemicals and the more specialised gas tanks. Operating services on various railways including the Chinese and Siberian railway for movements between China and Russia we can provide specialist knowledge on projects in some of the most remote areas of the world and those where other freight forwarders may well shy away from.

Some of our project cargo contracts run into many millions of pounds and without this level of control costs can easily run away from an inexperienced shipper and freight forwarder.
